From Barriers to Breakthroughs: Shaping Europe’s Integrated Financial Future

June 26 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Europe’s financial landscape is at a decisive moment, marked by rapid digital innovation, ambitious sustainability goals, and the critical need for deeper financial market integration. At the same time, Europe faces enormous geopolitical challenges and possible trade barriers. At this event hosted by the Centre for European Transformation (CfET) at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, EU Commissioner Maria Luís Albuquerque, responsible for Financial Services and the Savings and Investments Union, will discuss Europe’s strategic path forward.

The conversation will address how to overcome existing barriers such as fragmented national regulations and insufficient market harmonization that hinder cross-border investments and financial services. The panel will discuss the priorities for the next months and critically assess the balance between EU-level actions and national initiatives, exploring effective mechanisms for leveraging public spending to catalyze private investments. Commissioner Albuquerque, together with senior industry leaders, will offer insights on building a resilient European financial system.

Join us for an insightful session.
