As part of the inaugural Frankfurt Private Capital Symposium, the Centre for European Transformation (CfET) at Frankfurt School, together with UnternehmerTUM and Tech for Net Zero, is hosting an exclusive roundtable focused on one of Europe’s most pressing innovation challenges: financing the scale-up of capital-intensive DeepTech companies.
Across sectors such as energy, industrial technology, and resilience infrastructure, many promising companies struggle to move from demonstration projects to commercial deployment. While technologies may be proven and market demand already exists, financing first-of-a-kind production facilities and scaling operations remains a major bottleneck. Traditional financing structures are often not designed to absorb the risks associated with industrial scale-up.
This roundtable brings together investors, lenders, policymakers, public institutions, and founders to discuss practical solutions for bridging Europe’s DeepTech financing gap. Discussions will focus on capital stack design, risk allocation, public-private financing mechanisms, and pathways to mobilising non-dilutive capital for industrial innovation.
Designed as a highly interactive format, the session aims to foster open exchange between financial institutions, industry leaders, and policymakers, creating a platform for actionable dialogue and future collaboration.
The event will conclude with a networking reception and flying dinner at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
