AI Frontiers in Finance:

Bridging Theory and Practice

With the AI Frontiers in Finance webinar, we created a quarterly webinar series dedicated to “opening the black box” as to the technical foundations of “AI in Finance” research and providing a bridge to its practical implications and business applications. We want to raise awareness of the AI applications used in academic research and their potential for broader application. This way, the webinar will differ from others by combining expertise and fostering a dialogue that enriches both the academic and professional communities.

Each session brings together an academic speaker and an industry discussant who jointly explore a specific topic relevant to AI in finance, such as AI governance, credit markets, or data infrastructure, alongside a real-world case from different perspectives. Building on the original “AI Frontiers in Finance” format, the focus shifts to practical implementation within organisations: academics share evidence-based frameworks, practitioners reveal what works under real-world constraints, and together they translate insights into concrete solutions, practical recommendations, and actionable steps that participants can implement immediately.
